Wir sollten in Englisch für morgen eine Zusammenfassung über das Leben von Ernest Hemingway, dem bekannten Autor, schreiben.
Da es benotet wird habe ich mal mein bestes getan, würde jedoch auf grobe Fehler ganz gerne Aufmerksam gemacht werden.
Ich hoffe dies gilt nicht mehr als Hausaufgabenhilfe (was meist untersagt ist). Habe den Text ja schon geschrieben
Ernest Miller Hemingway was one of the most famous and successful American authors.
The author was born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1899.
As a child he visited the Oak Park high school but when he came to age he started working as a reporter at “Kansas City Star” in Kansas City.
When the First World War started Ernest applied to the Red Cross to be an ambulance driver in Italy.
After he got injured by a shell splinter, he went to hospital for a long time where he fell unlucky in love with Agnes von Kurowsky.
1919 he went back to Oak Park and afterwards he went to Toronto Star as a reporter.
One year later he applied for a reporter job at the police in Chicago.
In September 1921 he married Hadley Richardson and moved with her to Paris.
In Paris he continued to work as an external reporter for Toronto Star.
1925 until 1926 he lived two winters in Schruns where he published his famous novel “Fiesta”.
One year later he left Hadley and married Pauline Pfeiffer, she inspired him to write “A farewell to Arms” and 1939 he married the reporter Martha Gellhorn, afterwards Mary Welsh, his fourth women.
During a trip in Venedig Hemingway met the 18 year-old Adriana Ivanchiv. She inspired Mr. Hemingway to write “Across the River and into the Trees”. A famous novel.
1953 the author got the Pulitzer price and one year later the award for literature for his book “The old man and the Sea”.
When he got old he got depressive and a alcohol problem. He ended his sickness on his own with suicide at the age of 61 years.
